My Nanny was an inspirational woman who regularly gave and hardly ever took, even when she was dying
she was the one making sure everyone would be ok when she was gone. It may seem silly thinking back
on it now remembering her telling us to put the clocks forward and to teach my Pops how to use the
washing machine when she'd just been told that she didn't have long to live but that was the kind of
person she was she never put herself first, always last but she said that was they way she liked it.
Her favourite prayer was Footprints and she always told us to remember the last verse..."When you
saw only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you..."
She was a loving Wife to John, Mother to Angela and David, Nanny to Stephanie, Elizabeth, Ciaran,
Connor, Ashleigh, Logan and Mollie, Best Friend to Hazel and practically a member of the Woollams
Family, Sister and Friend...
It breaks my heart to think she will not get to see us grow up, get married and have our own
families but deep down I know she is with us always and will be there in spirit at every stage in
our lives.
My Nanny's last words to me before she fell asleep were "I Love You So Much" I just hope she knows
just how much we all loved her back...The day she died I not only lost my nanny but I also lost one
of my best friends and I know a lot of people feel the same way I do...
Sleep peacefully Nanny, I know I will see you again, Until Then...xxxx
